At the meeting of the Servant of the People faction with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, there were no resonant issues, BBC News Ukraine writes about this with reference to unnamed parliamentarians.
At the first conversation in this format in six months, there was “absolutely lively communication and an adequate atmosphere,” says one people’s deputy. According to another, “there were no pressing questions, because it was obvious: we wouldn’t get answers to them anyway.”
“Some colleagues were all talking about heresy, which simply caused laughter. For example, one of our deputies, who really wanted to get into one of the ministries, said that after the last faction [премьер-министр Украины Юлия] Sviridenko never called him for an interview,” another added.
The question that was remembered by all interlocutors of BBC News Ukraine, without exception, was the question of People's Deputy Pavel Frolov about compensation for housing for displaced people. Opinions within the faction differ: some consider it “very correct,” others say it is meaningless, since there is “no money in the budget for such expenses right now anyway.”

Among the topics that the deputies raised were the restoration of thermal power plants and mobilization. They discussed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, and the mayor of Kharkov, Igor Terekhov. At the same time, not a single question was raised at the meeting about suspicion of the former head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, although interlocutors of BBC News Ukraine claim that there were no official prohibitions on this topic.
“This issue is very sensitive for the president, so we decided not to touch it… Everyone simply understood that this topic would be outside the general context of the meeting,” explained one of the members of the SN faction. The non-factional Maryana Bezuglaya claims that she was the only one who asked Zelensky about the war, but did not receive an answer in front of everyone, and later spoke about this topic with the president. She did not provide details.
People's deputies claim that the topic of personnel changes in government agencies was allegedly not raised. According to the meeting participants, it lasted about 1.5 hours. Deputies at the entrance handed over phones, smart watches and headphones, they say – this is standard practice for such events since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
