In Krasnoyarsk, the number of equipped rescue posts near water bodies will increase; they will operate all summer every day from 09:00 to 21:00. The mayor's office spoke about this.
The beach season in the regional center starts on June 1 and will last until August 31. Three beaches are being prepared on Tatyshev Island: near the Oktyabrsky Bridge, Strelka Bay and Lake Mirror (Love). Swimming there can only be allowed subject to a positive sanitary and epidemiological conclusion from Rospotrebnadzor after taking water samples. Let us remind you that last year it was possible to swim in Lake Mirror and in the reservoir near the Oktyabrsky Bridge.
In total, there are 13 main zones in Krasnoyarsk where swimming is prohibited. The most visited of them are the Abakan channel of the Yenisei, water bodies of Tatyshev Island, reservoirs in the Peschanka area and the Oktyabrsky lake-park. The installation of “Swimming is prohibited!” signs there is now being completed; before the start of the summer period, more than 300 information signs will be placed near water bodies.
“In addition to Tatyshev Park, rescue posts are traditionally organized on the Abakan channel (Otdykha Island, 20), the Oktyabrsky lake-park and in Peschanka. This year their number will be increased from three to seven thanks to a regional subsidy in the amount of 13.8 million rubles. Taking into account city co-financing, one more post will be organized in the lake park and on the Abakan channel, two additional ones will be installed in Peschanka. In addition, the number of rescuers will increase. Instead of two people, there will be three people working at each post. Rescue posts are equipped with all necessary equipment and supplies: SUP boards, life jackets, rings, ropes, swimming kits, first aid kits, binoculars, megaphones. They will also begin their work on June 1,” the administration said.
