How to apply
1. Open the cartridge
Turn the filter upside down. Carefully cut the lower lid along the seam. Do it slowly so as not to damage the walls. Remove the lid – inside you will see old coal and sometimes white balls.
2. Delete the old filler
Pour all the contents and thoroughly rinse the body with warm water. If there is a built -in grid, leave it. If not, later put the gauze.
3. Prepare a new coal
Rinse the coal 1-2 times with cold water until black dust stops going. So you get rid of excess dust and prevent the darkening of the first portions of water. You can add a couple of tablets of zeolite to coal – it cleanses the water from heavy metals and unpleasant odors.
4. Pour the filler
Pour the coal into the filter case, but not too tightly – the water should pass freely. Put a layer of gauze or small mesh on top so that the coal does not pop up.
5. Close the filter
Insert the lid back if it sits tightly. Use a drop of food silicone or heat -mock or wrap the junction of a baking film or island.
6. Washing
Before use, skip 2-3 water jugs and pour. This will wash off the remnants of coal dust and stabilize the flow.
Such a filter serves about 3-6 months with regular washing and bedding of fresh coal. Once a month, just pour out the old coal, rinse the case and fall asleep with a new one – 10 minutes will go to everything.
