Ukrainian actress Elena Kravets considers Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky a significant person in her life, but admitted that they don’t see each other at all now. She spoke about this in an interview with presenter Slava Demin; the video was published on YouTube on May 26.
“We don’t see each other. He is a significant person in my life. I am grateful to him for a lot in my life. But from the moment he began political activity, we saw each other, it seems, twice even before Covid. Then we didn’t see each other,” she said.
Kravets recalled that she saw the First Lady of Ukraine Elena Zelenskaya, who is her goddaughter, once after the start of Zelensky’s presidential term – it was on the set of a podcast. Kravets added that she does not have a new number for the First Lady of Ukraine.
“We met with Elena once, I just came to hug her, and we very quickly talked about our parents and children: “How’s mom, how is Sasha?” explained the actress. “But we don’t see each other with Vladimir, we don’t communicate, I sometimes write him an SMS if I want to congratulate Elena, the children or him.”
Kravets admitted that Zelensky may not even read her messages. She remembered with sadness what their relationship had once been like.
“We are at absolutely different poles. But there is something in him and something in me, some part of us, connected by the past carefree time. It is connected by joint work, it is connected by jokes, friendly gatherings, but this is all in such a different life. And these parts of us, I hope, remain, they are still friends. But today there is no friendly communication. It’s a little sad,” added the actress. “But I immediately wrote to him when he took office: “I’m very worried about you, I see.” everything, but I don’t want to bother your brain. “I understand the pressure and complexity of this job.”
