As the mayor's office said, Krasnoyarsk orphans began receiving keys to apartments in the 17-story building. One of them is Ilya Shevyakov, a graduate of the Faculty of History of Siberian Federal University, who is engaged in urban planning. “My wife and I were very happy. This will make life a lot easier. With current home prices, becoming homeowners is not easy. I am grateful to the administration that now we have our own square meters,” shared the owner of the new “odnushka”.

Let us remind you that the house Construction on Gruntovaya began back in 2007, but the developer Sibstroyinvest went bankrupt and shareholders were left without housing and money. Subsequently, other companies made unsuccessful attempts to complete construction. In 2020, the Federal Territorial Development Fund took responsibility for the high-rise building; it paid compensation to defrauded shareholders and received the right to dispose of the property at its own discretion. This year the house was completed. Apartments there for 28 orphans were purchased by the urban planning department.

The mayor's office recalled that in 2025, housing was also purchased on Sokolovskaya, Shevchenko, Norilskaya, Aralskaya, Sudostroitelnaya, Kalinina and other streets for more than 1 billion 300 million rubles. Funds were allocated from the regional budget in the form of a targeted subvention. Apartments are purchased both in new buildings and on the secondary market; according to regional legislation, the housing area can vary from 22 to 42 m².

“This year the city administration was supposed to purchase 256 apartments for orphans. Bthanks to the existing savings based on the results of auctions and the large supply on the real estate market, we managed to buy 305 premises. Next year we plan to purchase another 250 apartments, I hope that we will exceed the plan,” said the head of the urban planning department Sergei Shikunov.
