In Krasnoyarsk, the former general director of KDSK LLC, Anton Egorov, received 3 years in prison for the theft of 98 million rubles during the modernization of an asphalt concrete plant. This was reported to the regional prosecutor's office.
According to the supervisory agency, in March 2022, in Krasnoyarsk, the head of JSC “ABZ” decided to modernize the asphalt concrete plant on Lesopilshchikov Street in order to reduce atmospheric emissions and improve product quality. After a technical inspection, the commission recognized the old bitumen and fuel oil storage facilities, as well as the Teltomat-80 and DS-168 installations, as unsuitable and dangerous for further operation.
The work was planned to be carried out within the framework of the federal project “Clean Air” of the national project “Ecology”. The technical council of the company approved the purchase of 2 new SANY units, 63 steel tanks and the carrying out of design, dismantling, installation and commissioning work. The general director of KDSK LLC volunteered to carry out this entire complex.
Anton Egorov assured that he had both personnel and equipment, and if necessary, he could attract the resources of USK Sibiryak LLC, which was headed by his father. After this, the company applied for a targeted loan to the federal fund and entered into agreements for the supply of new equipment. However, the contractor never started work.
“In order not to disrupt the project, the plant had to dismantle old equipment on its own, install new equipment and carry out some of the other work that the contractor had to do. Despite this, the company entered into a contract with KDSK LLC and paid for the work in full – 98 million rubles. The contractor received the money, but did not fulfill his obligations, and disposed of the funds at his own discretion,” the prosecutor’s office said.
Subsequently, the plant continued to carry out work at its own expense, involving its own employees and third-party organizations. As a result, the court found the former general director of the contracting organization guilty under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed with the use of official position, on an especially large scale).
Anton Egorov was sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony, with a fine of 800 thousand rubles. The damage of 98 million rubles was compensated by the time the case was considered.
