In the center of Krasnoyarsk, a two-story residential building on Lenina Street, 74, recognized as unsafe, will be resettled and reconstructed. This was reported by the urban planning department.

Let us remind you that the building is a cultural heritage site of local significance. In 1907–1925 Soviet mountaineers-researchers brothers Vitaly and Evgeniy Abalakov lived in it. Together with the Abalakovsky Trade House, it is part of the historical building complex, has the same address and is geographically located behind the trading house.

“After the fire in 2024, the condition of the load-bearing structures deteriorated, and therefore it was decided to move the house on an expedited basis. 4 families live here. It is planned to provide them with new living quarters to replace those seized or to pay them money. The seizure procedure has now begun. After the resettlement, the house will become the property of the city and will later be handed over for reconstruction,” said Alexander Navrodsky, head of the urban planning department.

It should be noted that the day before, information appeared in the media about the demolition of the Abalakov House. But, as the mayor’s office explained, the order to seize the property at 74 Lenin Street contained incorrect information, and the document will be amended accordingly.
