Denis Harut (27 years old), his quarterback SEPSthe team with which he succeeded in promotion to the Super League, spoke about his future, but also about the duel between FCSB and FC Botoșani, his former teams.
FCSB and FC Botoșani meet at the “Steaua” stadium in the semi-final of the play-off for the Conference League qualification. The winner will play away to Dinamo for the last European place.
Denis Haruț extends his contract with Sepsi in the Super League: “We are going to finalize it”
The central defender announced that he is very close to continuing at Sepsi next season as well, after the Covasnians were promoted to the Superliga.
“My contract ends on the 30th of June and the first option, as I promised the club, is Sepsi. We are going to finalize everything. At the moment, I think there are still a few things to put in place and in a short time I think we will sign.
The relegation was frustrating and it's quite difficult, especially when you're playing in the European cups, to have a free fall straight into League 2. It's frustrating and difficult to put everything back together again.
There are no problems at Sepsi, the money is up to date, and the training conditions are extraordinary“said Haruț on Digi Sport Matinal.
Asked about the duel between FCSB and FC Botoșani, the defender avoided choosing a favorite, having important ties with both teams.
“It's hard to say who I'm rooting for tonight. I've played for both teams. At FCSB I also won the championship, and at Botoșani Croitoru is also my godfather, so I tend to care more about the family and I don't want to upset the people at FCSB.”
Denis Haruț: “You assume when you go to FCSB”
Denis Haruț performed at FCSB in the period 2021-2024, during which he won two championship titles and a Supercup. The defender spoke about his time at the Red-Blues and the pressure in the club.
“I started well at FCSB and, slowly, I was not able to have the same developments. Me, every time I entered, I tried to do it as well as possible. I played several positions and never refused. As a professional footballer, you have to do your job where you are needed. I tried to do my job in whatever position I entered.
The best memories from FCSB are related to a match with Rapid, at the National Arena. We won 3-1, the stadium was full, the atmosphere was amazing, and for me it was something wonderful.
We didn't get along at the beginning, after that things were OK and I agreed to go there. From a contractual point of view we did not agree the first time, then we agreed and accepted. I had some other offers both from the country and from abroad, but the offer from FCSB was the best at that time, in my opinion.”

Denis Haruț, about Gigi Becali's criticism: “It affects everyone”
Finally, Sepsi's defender also spoke about the pressure created by the FCSB boss, Gigi Becali, and about the public criticism within the club.
“Like everyone says, you take it when you go there, but it's up to you how strong you are and how well you can do your job under that pressure. I think it affects everyone. It is unlikely that anyone will say that they are not affected by criticism, but it is up to each person how they cope. You have to be good at the game.
Mr. Gigi Becali came to the base once, but that's about it. I only spoke on the phone when I signed“, declared Denis Haruț.
