Gloria Buzău It's history. Adrian Petre, the new interim president of the Buzau County Council, announced that the team will be abolished, due to financial problems. Metal Buzău, therefore, remains the only representative of the city in Liga 2. Gloria had relegated at the end of last season, did not sign up in Liga 2and bankruptcy was only a matter of time.
The town hall decided not to support the club, and Adrian Petre made the announcement, during a press conference.
Gloria Buzău disappears from Romanian football: “The City Hall, due to lack of funds, decided not to support”
“FC Buzău, a club established in 2016 by the City Hall of Buzau, who promoted in Liga 2, had no right to promote in Liga 1.
It was then decided to be an association between Buzau City Hall, CJ, representatives of FC Buzău club and a private company, to have a team to promote in Liga 1, which happens.
Until I promoted in Liga 1, things went well, because I had a quick promotion, then the defective management of the club today led as FC Buzău, with the phrase Gloria, to reach the threshold of abolition.
After relegation, he registered for Liga 2, CJ could not support FC Buzău because I went to the law 69 of the performance sport and for the failure to meet the objective, I could no longer support.
Buzău City Hall, due to lack of funds, decided not to support it, and the private environment that did not come with any contribution in season 2025/2026, I understood that they want to get out of this association and in this sense FC Buzau will be abolished.
With a lot of debts, it will certainly reach the hands of a judicial executor and then everything they had to have a heritage for paying the debts, “said Adrian Petre, interim president CJ Buzău.

Gloria Buzău “swallowed” 3 million euros from public money only last season
The County Council and the City Hall invested in Gloria Buzău, in this championship edition no less than 3 million euros.
The figures increase overwhelming in relation to the period 2021-2025: no less than 7 million euros have invested the local authorities of public money in the Sorted Project.
Despite the huge infusion, the club faced big logistics problems. At the end of the regular season, in the 30th stage, the “white-blue” encountered difficulties in traveling to Cluj, where they met CFR.
The management told the players that the transport will be done by bus, not by plane. Only part of them chose to travel by air, from their own finances, and the result was a disastrous one: 6-0 for railways.
