Kyle Busch is dead. The NASCAR legend was 41 years old


“It is with deep sadness and heartache that we share the tragic news of the death of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup winner and one of our sport's greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old,” the official NASCAR series account said. Just four days before his death, Busch participated in the All-Star Race at the track in Dover, Delaware.

“The entire NASCAR family is deeply saddened by the death of Kyle Busch. Kyle, a future Hall of Famer, was a once-in-a-generation talent. He was tenacious, passionate, incredibly talented and cared deeply about the sport and its fans. … NASCAR lost a giant of the sport today, far too soon,” reads a statement released by NASCAR.

Kyle Busch won the championship in 2015 and 2019. In 2005, he was chosen the best rookie of the season. He holds the record for seasons with at least one race win under his belt. With 63 race wins under his belt, he is in 9th place in terms of the number of career victories.
