As RadioZET.pl reminds, car owners must remember that after installing the towbar, they must undergo a technical inspection of the vehicle again. In addition, it is also mandatory to report the installation of the hook to the office within 30 days of installation. Failure to fulfill this obligation is the first mistake that car owners often make.

An incorrectly installed towbar or failure to report its installation may cost the driver a fine of up to PLN 500 and the loss of his registration certificate. This can be particularly painful when driving because the police do not allow you to continue driving.

As indicated by RadioZET.pl, the most frequently punished offense is something that can be observed during holiday or holiday trips, i.e. covering the license plate with a hook or a bicycle rack. Disclosure of this fact by the police during an inspection may result in a fine of PLN 500 or even 8 penalty points.
However, this is not the end of the potentially very unpleasant and severe consequences for drivers who act inappropriately after installing the towbar in their car.

Moving a license plate to a place not intended for this purpose – as explained by RadioZET.pl – is also punishable by a fine of PLN 500 and eight penalty points.
However, the most serious sanctions concern removing the plate from the car and placing it in the trunk. If, during an inspection, the police find such behavior on the part of the driver, they may impose a fine of up to PLN 5,000, and the driver may also lose his registration certificate.
