Which is the company that did the maintenance on the elevator that fell into the void at the CFR Palace. How many papers did he have last month

A company from sector 1 of Bucharest made several inspections in April at the elevators in the CFR Palace, where the Ministry of Transport is based.

Grup Exploatare si Intreținere CFR SA, a company under the authority of the Ministry of Transport, had several contracts with a company from the Capital for the maintenance of the elevators in the headquarters in Bucharest, writes the local publication Buletin de București.

It is about Kronlift SRL owned by Jean-Louis Arsenie. The company's representatives refused to comment on the accident on Thursday and claimed to have submitted a report to the State Inspection for the Control of Boilers, Pressure Vessels and Lifting Installations (ISCIR).

Seven people were in the elevator that collapsed. Five people were transported to the hospital. The lift fell “several floors”, according to the Ministry of Transport. It is not clear at this time from what height the elevator fell.

CFR Palat Exploatare and Maintenance Group also stated, after the accident, that a day ago, on May 20, revision work was done on the elevator that fell into the void. The traction cables were completely replaced.

What works did Kronlift SRL do?

In April, the Kronlift SRL company carried out several repairs to the elevators in the CFR Palace, including a general overhaul of the elevators at gates A, E and G.

Each revision was invoiced for approximately 2,100 lei, according to the concluded contract. In total, Kronlift SRL received 10,000 lei.

According to a document that centralizes the invoices paid by the public company in charge of managing the CFR Palace, the last repair made by Kronlift SRL was on May 18, based on an invoice in the amount of 2,600 lei.

According to the latest fiscal balance, for 2024, the company recorded a profit of 940,000 lei and a turnover of more than 23 million lei, the equivalent of 4.6 million euros.

Kronlift SRL, loan for PUSL

Kronlift SRL lent the Humanist Social Liberal Party, founded by Dan Voiculescu, with about 395,000 lei, according to Buletin de Bucuresti.

The document showing the loan is signed by the former Minister of the Environment, Grațiela Gavrilescu.

Lawyer Daniel Ionașcu was the executive president of PUSL in 2022. Grațiela Gavrilescu is now in the leadership forum of the party founded by Dan Voiculescu.

Gavrilescu was elected president of the PUSL Executive Bureau in February 2026.

She obtained a mandate in the Chamber of Deputies, in December 2024, on the PSD lists.
