'Repeated and dangerous' interception of spy plane by Russian military aircraft in Black Sea, London reveals

Two Russian warplanes “repeatedly and dangerously” intercepted a British Air Force spy plane over the Black Sea last month, the British Ministry of Defense revealed today, quoted by the BBC.
According to London, a Russian Su-35 fighter jet came so close to the Rivet Joint aircraft that it triggered emergency systems and disabled the autopilot. In addition, a Su-27 plane made six passes in front of the British aircraft, even approaching to within six meters of it.
“An example of dangerous and unacceptable behavior”
British Defense Secretary John Healey praised the “remarkable professionalism” of British aircrew during the “unacceptable” Russian manoeuvres, which the body described as the most dangerous Russian action after 2022.
The British ministry said the Rivet Joint aircraft was unarmed and was on a routine international flight to help secure NATO's eastern flank.
“This incident is another example of dangerous and unacceptable behavior by Russian pilots towards an unarmed aircraft operating in international airspace,” Secretary Healey said, condemning the Russian intercepts.
“These actions create a serious risk of accidents and potential escalation,” the British official warned.
“This incident will not deter the UK's commitment to defending NATO, our allies and our interests from Russian aggression,” John Healey said.
London urged the Russian embassy to condemn the incident.
