One person died as a result of an explosion followed by a fire that occurred on Tuesday morning in a house in District 6 of the Capital.
“This morning, at around 03:30, there was an explosion followed by a fire at a house on Pietrele Doamnei street, Sector 6, Bucharest”, announced ISU Bucharest – Ilfov, according to News.ro.
The fire manifested itself with a violent flame, on an area of approximately 100 square meters, and following the explosion the ceiling and walls of the house collapsed. According to the first information, at the time of the explosion, there was one person in the house.
The search and rescue teams extracted a deceased person and his dog from under the rubble, states the ISU.
In order to manage the emergency situation, 8 fire trucks, 1 height intervention and rescue truck, 1 extrication truck, the Special Rescue Detachment and 5 SMURD ambulances were progressively alerted and intervened.
