A deception scheme is gaining popularity in Moscow, in which men lose tens of thousands of rubles after dating “bouquet girls.”
After meeting someone through an app or on the street, the girl offers to go for a walk and then asks to buy her a bouquet at a specific flower shop. The cost of compositions starts from several thousand rubles. The acquaintance does not continue, and the flowers are presumably returned to the store. Users of Moscow forums claim that one bouquet can be sold several times during the evening, and the girls receive a percentage of the sales.
Lawyers note that it is difficult to prove the presence of fraudulent intent in such situations, since the purchase is made voluntarily. At the same time, if there is evidence of prior collusion between the participants and the amount of damage exceeds 2.5 thousand rubles, the scheme can be classified as fraud.
Experts advise paying attention to attempts to persistently bring a person to a certain salon or persuade them to buy expensive gifts immediately after meeting.
