The chief designer of Fire Point said that due to pressure from anti-corruption activists, missile contracts are being disrupted

Fire Point is experiencing systemic pressure from anti-corruption activists. Because of this, contracts with European counterparties were disrupted and the implementation of the Freya project with EU countries, which was supposed to create a cheap alternative to anti-ballistic air defense, was delayed. This was stated by co-founder and chief designer of Fire Point Denis Shtilerman in an interview with Yanina Sokolova on the ProUA YouTube channel.

“We were supposed to sign a contract with the Danes. And we didn’t sign. One of the large European companies postponed the integration of its radar with our rocket. I don’t believe in such coincidences,” he noted.

According to the chief designer, he notices the spread of negative information about the company after the announcement of intentions to develop every rocket project. This hinders the implementation of plans.

The Anti-Corruption Center (ACC) has delayed the implementation of the Freya project, Shtilerman said.

“The TsPK is a company that sent its lies to every embassy. We wrote a statement about this to the SBU. The TsPK slowed down the Freya project for at least seven months with its libels. So that they don’t work with us, so that our products are not purchased,” he emphasized.

According to him, the implementation of the Freya project with the participation of Norway was supposed to begin in June 2025, but actually started only in February 2026, because the audit initiated due to information from anti-corruption activists continued.

“The Prime Minister of Norway came to us and saw the production and documentation with his own eyes. After that, he gave instructions that we forget about these gossips, about these storytellers, and begin to work on a pan-European interceptor. Before that, everything was on pause,” said the chief designer of Fire Point.
