It's official: Guinness World Records is coming to Romania to certify the biggest Speed Networking meeting in the world

On May 27, 2026, with the help of the Romanian Business Club, Bucharest will become the epicenter of global entrepreneurship. More than 1,500 entrepreneurs, investors and professionals are expected at Romexpo for the official attempt to break the Guinness World Records for the largest speed networking meeting ever organized.
The Guinness World Records Mechanism: DISCIPLINE FOR SUCCESS
For the record to be validated, participants must follow a rigorous interaction protocol. The official attempt of the Romanian entrepreneurs to break the current record held by Sydney, Australia consists of a system of successive timed rounds with a total duration of two hours.
An extensive team of 50 people consisting of stewards, witnesses and referees will coordinate the conduct of the record attempt so that all stages comply with Guinness World Records regulations. Every second counts: participants must follow the established route and rotation rules, the entire session being monitored by official referees and technical teams. This constructive “pressure” forces entrepreneurs to refine their business speech (elevator pitch), turning each 3-minute round into an opportunity to connect, without protocol barriers. In addition, each participant will be required to register with the official Guinness World Records app for validation of participation and issuance of the participation certificate after the event.
“This record is achieved by the more than 1,500 people who will come to Romexpo on May 27. We just created the framework where every entrepreneur can enter into conversations, without wasting time, and have, if he wants, 3 minutes on stage to say who he is and what he does. Every participant in the hall counts and can go home with at least 20 new contacts in the phone book”. said Vlad Mihălăchioiu, the founder of the Romanian Business Club.
After the validation of the record, 20 personalities from the Romanian business world will take the stage of the event to share valuable stories from their own entrepreneurial experience. The evening will end with a party dedicated to the new Guinness World Records holders.
