A large-scale communications renewal program made it possible to successfully complete the heating season in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

SGK Heating Networks Director Anton Baev presented the results of the heating season at a large press conference. The winter period, despite severe January frosts, passed calmly – consumers in Siberian cities consistently received heat. This was the result of a large-scale program of modernization and renewal of heating networks.

Over the past 5 years, SGK has updated more than 1,026 km of pipelines in the cities of Siberia, where it is responsible for heat supply. Separately, Anton Baev emphasized the role of hydraulic tests in increasing the reliability of heat supply. Timely inspection and testing of the strength of heating networks in the summer allowed on average to reduce the damage to heating networks in the cities of SGC responsibility by 10%.

A large-scale network renewal program has made it possible to qualitatively increase the level of reliability of heat supply in Krasnoyarsk. Since 2020, SGK has updated over 300 kilometers of communications in the regional center. A lot of work has been done on the repair and reconstruction of main heating networks. On an annual basis, all this made it possible to reduce the damage to pipelines by almost a third. A separate area of improving the quality of heat supply has become in-pipe diagnostics of heating networks. Last year in Krasnoyarsk several hard-to-reach areas were examined in this way.

All this work made it possible not only to provide heat to the residents of Krasnoyarsk, but also to continue work to improve air quality – to close 37 inefficient boiler houses. Taking into account the modernization of Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1, this made it possible to reduce emissions in Krasnoyarsk by 8,700 tons per year. This year in Krasnoyarsk it is planned to replace over 55 km of communications in 90 sections, including in the center on Diktatury Proletariat Street, where 37-year-old pipes are being replaced.

The result of systematic work to modernize the heat supply of Kansk, implemented by SGK also since 2020, was a reduction in pipeline wear from 80% to 38%. In total, 50 km of heating networks have already been built and reconstructed in the city; the damage to heating networks has been reduced by almost half. Thanks to the renovation of the heat supply system in the city, 11 old boiler houses have been closed. As a result, emissions of harmful substances were reduced by 1,500 tons per year. This year, specialists from the Kansk Heating Network will repair and reconstruct almost 7 km of pipelines in 57 sections. In particular, it is planned to complete the landmark renovation of the site on 30 Let VLKSM Street. The installation of an updated section of the pipeline, 707 meters long, in this part of the city has already made it possible to increase the reliability of heat supply to more than 40 multi-apartment residential buildings.

In Nazarovo, 2.5 km of heating networks are planned to be updated this year. Summer repair work will take place in the area of the City Court, as well as in the area of Karl Marx Street, 44. The need for a complete replacement of pipes here was established last year during a survey of the city’s heating networks using special robots.

“Providing heat to one and a half million people, schools, hospitals, industrial facilities is a huge responsibility. Therefore, we pay primary attention to the renewal and reliability of heating networks. We are expanding repair programs and expanding diagnostics using modern technologies. Our goal is to provide consumers with stable warmth and comfort in any heating season, regardless of the weather,” said Oleg Bubnovsky, General Director of the Yenisei TGC (a division of the SGK in the Yenisei Siberia region).
