I only take potatoes and spices – the side dish turns out tastier than the restaurant one. A delicious dish in 30 minutes

Tired of the usual fried potatoes or boring mashed potatoes? Introducing a way to turn a simple side dish into a culinary creation worthy of a holiday table. Just half an hour, a minimum of ingredients – and a dish with the aroma of a chef's restaurant will appear on your table.

The secret to success is the perfect combination of fresh herbs and spices, olive oil and proper baking technique: crispy outside and crumbly, tender flesh inside.

Ingredients (for 4 servings):

  • Potatoes – 1 kg
  • Olive oil – 3 tbsp. l.
  • Fresh rosemary – 4 sprigs
  • Garlic – 4 cloves
  • Salt and ground black pepper – to taste

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. Wash the potatoes thoroughly with a brush – do not peel them, because they contain the main aroma and nutrients.
  3. Cut the tubers into large slices.
  4. In a large bowl, toss potatoes with olive oil, salt and pepper.
  5. Lightly crush the garlic with the flat side of a knife (so that it releases the flavor better), but do not chop it. Add it to the bowl along with the leaves from two rosemary sprigs.
  6. Mix everything thoroughly with your hands so that each piece is coated with oil and spices.
  7. Place the potatoes in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, turning the slices once halfway through, until golden and crisp.

Innings:

Serve hot, immediately after cooking. Garnish the dish with the remaining whole sprigs of fresh rosemary for an elegant presentation.

What to serve with:

It goes well with meat (especially roast beef or lamb), goes well with fish, or serves as a stand-alone aromatic vegetarian appetizer.
