Lumberjacks from all over the region will meet at the site of the Divnogorsk College of Forestry Technologies. Fifteen participants will compete for the title of best in the Krasnoyarsk region.
Fellers, forwarder and harvester operators will compete. Participants in the competition will demonstrate their skills in felling timber, bucking and pruning branches, and will also perform exercises on loading and unloading logs.
In addition to lumberjack competitions, guests will enjoy a rich entertainment and concert program. The regional Forest Fire Center, the GEOS Museum and the directorate of protected areas will present their stands. In honor of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, a festival of national cultures “Round Dance of Friendship – United Under the Sun” will be held.
The winners of the regional stage will represent the region at the All-Russian competitions in September. The competition will take place on May 29.
