After handing out the medals on stage, the president of the LPF, Gino Iorgulescu, and the general secretary of the League, Justin Ștefan, came and talked with Rotaru. Iorgulescu handed him the medal and the champion's shirt, while his brother, Vicentiu Iorgulescu, took a photo of the two of them. The LPF president wanted to personally congratulate the leader of the new champion.

“All the decisions we've made have been good since I got here, so I congratulate myself for everything. We were a team that just happened to underperform in Europe. If it wasn't for some mismanaged moments, we had a chance to qualify from the top 8 in the Conference League.

We are now looking back in vain. We have to enjoy what is happening, these moments, and the fact that Craiova University is champion again after 35 years makes me very happy.

There are people who deal with transfers and they work very well, Ovidiu Costesin, Mario Felgueiras and the others. I really don't deal with this area. We already have 3-4 months of options in case someone leaves, so we can replace them. We have 3-4 players for each position.

We are not talking now about the Champions League, the Europa League or the Conference League. We are thinking about how to make a strong team. What I can tell you is that a lot of work is being done and we know what we have to do.
