Fans have been calling for the management's resignation since a few days ago, alleging administrative chaos and lack of direction.

What started the conflict? Supporters accused the management of a lack of vision and results, calling for administrative changes and a return to the performance standards of the title season. Gică Popescu, broad reaction and balance of the mandate

In response, Gică Popescu published an extensive statement on the club's official website, in which he spoke about the achievements of recent years and the current situation in Constanța.

The Lighthouse official reviewed the performances of his mandate, the investments made and the projects carried out at the club, but also the context of the appointment of Flavius Stoican to the technical bench, after the departure of Ianis Zicu.

Popescu emphasized that during the 7 years of his mandate, he also assumed difficult decisions and highlighted the fact that Farul won a championship title, reached the play-offs three times and recorded important progress at the level of infrastructure and academy.

At the same time, he stated that during this period more than 9.5 million euros were attracted from sponsorships and partnerships, and the children's and junior center obtained several national titles.
