Two men will pay to extinguish a fire at a cemetery in the village of Kalinovka, Mansko-Uyarsky district. This was reported by the prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk region

According to the supervisory authority, in the spring of 2025, during persistent dry and windy weather, the men decided to prepare a burial site. They lit an open fire to warm the frozen soil, but the flames quickly spread to the dry grass. The fire spread across the field and began to approach residential buildings.

The men were unable to extinguish the fire on their own, so they called rescuers. The fire and rescue unit 62 managed to stop the spread of the fire. No people were injured, and serious damage was also avoided.

Both culprits were subsequently brought to administrative responsibility for violating fire safety rules (Part 1 of Article 20.4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). In addition, the prosecutor's office requested the inspection materials and filed a lawsuit for damages.

The magistrate satisfied the demands of the supervisory department and recovered from the men the amount of costs for extinguishing the fire.
