A woman gave birth to a baby in a US courtroom. The situation caused a stir

The police claimed that the woman did not appear to be pregnant when she was arrested and did not inform them about her condition. Randazzo was wearing loose clothing, refused medical attention and did not report any symptoms, NBC News reports.
Only the night after her arrest did she tell officers that she was pregnant and experiencing drug withdrawal symptoms. She was taken to hospital, where after a short observation she was discharged home.

Four hours later, she went to court for a hearing in her case. While testifying, her water broke unexpectedly. The situation caused a stir in the courtroom, and court officials immediately rushed to help.
The labor progressed quickly and the woman gave birth to the baby while still in the courtroom. The boy was born “on a court bench,” as emphasized by the Legal Aid Society. The organization noted that the suspect was not provided with adequate medical care or privacy. Randazzo's attorney, Wynton Sharpe, expressed gratitude to courthouse staff for their response. He described the event as both joyful because a child was born and sad because the conditions were far from decent.
