In November 2024, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. The application for the warrants was filed in May 2024 by ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan, claiming that both politicians were responsible for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in connection with Israel's actions during the war in the Gaza Strip.
