How to eat raspberries from the bush – and not eat white worms: 2 ml per liter of water – and the berries are clean, without larvae

May is the most important time for raspberries: if you do not treat the bushes against pests, then in June you will “enjoy” the berries with white worms swarming inside. The author of the Zen channel “Volga Garden” shared a recipe for an effective and at the same time safe solution based on the biological product Fitoverm. Use it – and the berries will be absolutely clean, without surprises.

How to prepare the solution

The recipe is simple: stir 2-3 ml of Fitoverma in 1 liter of water and spray the raspberries on the leaves. Go through the lower leaves and stems first, and then work your way up. Spray the leaves from the underside of the leaf as this is where pests hide.

Treat bushes early in the morning or late in the evening. If you spray them during the day, the solution will immediately evaporate and the young leaves will burn. And one more thing: do not carry out the treatment in windy weather, otherwise the solution will immediately “fly away” onto neighboring plants.

For the drug to work, carry out the treatment at a temperature of +18 °C. If it is lower, then Fitoverm will be useless. Repeat the treatment every week to ensure that the pest retreats.

Some gardeners prefer to treat raspberries with a one-time, potent chemical like Aktara. However, in case of an accidental overdose, there is a risk of burning the raspberries and being left without a harvest. In addition, this drug is toxic to bees.
