Yamal marathon runner Albert Okotetto will go on a solo ultramarathon on June 1. It starts from kilometer zero on Red Square in Moscow and finishes in Noyabrsk. The entire journey will take at least two months – the athlete plans to complete the race on August 1.
As Yamal 1 writes, the northerner intends to cover 55-60 kilometers every day. The route will pass through many cities and towns in Russia. Okotetto admitted that he had been preparing for the race for a whole year: he constantly ran and bought the necessary things. Now, according to him, he is morally determined and is waiting for the start.
The marathon runner does not rule out encounters with wild animals along the way, but says he is prepared for different scenarios. In 2024, Albert had already run almost 1,200 kilometers from Kharp to Noyabrsk in 19 days.
