
April 25, 1944
The bureau of the regional party committee and the regional executive committee adopted a resolution “On carrying out recreational activities for children of the region in 1944.” It was noted that in 1943, 1,250 children were covered by camp and sanatorium-preventive measures. The task has been set to organize sites at schools with enhanced nutrition for students in grades 1-2, and to cover 1.6 thousand children with health-improving activities.

To assist schools in solving economic issues and organizing industrial training for students, by decree of the bureau of the regional committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, sponsoring industrial enterprises were assigned to schools in the region.

“The Teploozersky Cement Plant received a government telegram with a decision – the board of the USSR Ministry of Industrial Construction Materials and the Central Committee of the industry trade union awarded the enterprise a challenge Red Banner and the first cash prize based on the results of the first quarter of this year.
Since the beginning of the five-year plan, this high award has been awarded to the plant for the 16th time.
“In the past quarter, cement workers shipped 4 thousand tons of above-plan products to construction sites in the Far East.”

“At the Teplovsky fish hatchery, preparations have been completed for the release of chum salmon fry into the lake. Within ten days, 24 million fry will undergo adaptation in natural conditions before the long journey to the ocean.
Now fish farmers are feeding, and as the water temperature rises, they will begin a gradual descent of the fry to Bira.”

“The results of the socialist competition of the regional directorates of the region’s cinema network for the first quarter of 1980 have been summed up.
The best results were achieved by the film directors of the Smidovichi district. They significantly exceeded the planned targets for screenings, audience coverage and gross fundraising.
The Smidovichi directorate of the cinema network was awarded the Challenge Red Banner of the Executive Committee of the Regional Council of People's Deputies.”
