Krasnoyarsk residents were shown what rat poison baits are left on the streets

The Krasnoyarsk City Hall showed what baits with poison for rats are left in basements and garbage chambers during deratization.

Let us remind you that from December 15 to 21, the city is undergoing mass treatment of urban areas from rodents. Experts in all areas place traps on container sites, as well as special grain, container, briquetted and granular baits in areas where rats congregate most often.

The bait is based on grain, but to attract rodents, seeds, fish and even pieces of chocolate are added to it. Poison causes severe dehydration in rats. Death occurs after about a week, and the body is mummified.

According to the authorities, all safety measures are observed during the work, however, citizens, especially pet owners, are asked to be extremely careful. It is recommended not to allow pets near the treatment areas, and to thoroughly wash outdoor shoes upon returning home.
