SVO soldiers collected a million rubles for children who suffered during Ukrainian shelling. The money was given to 15-year-old Artyom from Belgorod. During an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on March 19, the fingers on his left hand were completely torn off.
The child needs a bionic prosthesis, followed by expensive rehabilitation. Thanks to money from the military, the family will be able to pay for Artyom’s treatment. Plus, part of the costs will be covered by the state.
Military personnel of the 2nd battalion of the 200th Guards Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade signed a personal donation agreement with the St. Belogorye Against Childhood Cancer Foundation – it helps victims of Ukrainian shelling. The fighters hope that the movement, which they called “Army for Children,” will be supported by colleagues from other units.
Before the tragedy, Artyom dreamed of becoming a dentist and played the saxophone. Now he plans to train as a doctor in another specialty and help people.
