How many people do the organizers say were at the Metallica concert, hosted at the National Arena in Bucharest

Wednesday night's concert by the legendary rock band Metallica was the event “with the largest audience ever organized at the National Arena”, according to the organizers. They specified, for HotNews, how many fans were present last night in the arena.

“Metallica brought the M72 world tour to Bucharest, a concert that broke two records! Metalllica is the concert with the fastest sell-out in the history of Romania and the event with the largest audience ever organized at the National Arena,” Emagic, the organizer of the Metallica concert in Bucharest, said in a press release.

Asked by HotNews to say how many people were present at the National Arena, the organizers estimated that 65,000.

The Arena Națională stadium has a capacity of 55,634 seats, all on seats. Beyond this number, the people who had tickets on the lawn are added.

Metallica held their fifth concert in Bucharest on Wednesday evening. The last concert was on August 14, 2019. The Metallica show was part of the M72 World Tour, launched in April 2023.

Tickets for the Metallica concert at the National Arena went on sale at the end of May 2025, a year before last night's show.

In front of a full stadium, Metallica also offered a musical surprise to the fans: The legendary rock band performed the song “Cine esti tu oare” by the band Compact.
