British King Charles III gave a speech at the Palace of Westminster on May 13 during the opening of the new parliamentary session. He stressed that the UK will continue to help Ukraine resist Russian aggressors. The full text of the speech is published on the British government website.

“In this uncertain world, the government will continue to pursue a foreign policy based on a sober assessment of national interests. It will continue to provide unwavering support to the brave people of Ukraine who fight on the front lines of freedom,” the monarch said.

He stressed that British ministers will work to strengthen relations with European partners, which is “a vital step to strengthen European security.”
