Krasnoyarsk police detained a 22-year-old resident of Irkutsk, suspected of involvement in a series of frauds against elderly people.

It was established that the attacker found an offer to earn money on the Internet – his duties included taking money from the addresses indicated by the curators and transferring it to the accounts of the scammers, leaving a small percentage for himself.
“In Krasnoyarsk alone, the courier took money from six addresses. The main age of the victims is 80 years. The total amount of damage caused to Krasnoyarsk residents amounted to more than 3.7 million rubles. In addition, it turned out that the detainee was involved in similar crimes committed on the territory of Moscow, as well as the Yaroslavl, Kemerovo and Chelyabinsk regions,” said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The attacker was detained in Irkutsk and criminal cases were opened against him under Parts 2 and 3 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud”. Currently, law enforcement officers continue to establish all episodes of his criminal activities and victims, as well as the organizers of the scheme.
