The leader of the USR rejects the solution of a technocratic government and sees two scenarios: “We will not pass a front solution”

The President of the USR, Dominic Fritz, expressed his skepticism towards the option of inaugurating a technocrat government, which “at first glance seems like a kind of screen for the PSD to continue exercising power”.
Tuesday evening, on Antena 3, the USR leader suggested that his party sees two main scenarios for the formation of the new Government.
“The world wants clarity and that is precisely why the USR line is clear. If the PSD is in government, very well, we are in opposition. If the PSD wants to go into opposition, we can see if we can find a formula to govern”, declared Dominic Fritz.
Official sources stated that all scenarios are on the table of President Nicușor Dan, including the version of a technocratic government.
“He didn't share any name with me, and the truth is that I still haven't understood this scenario, of a technocratic government, because at first glance it seems like a kind of screen so that the PSD can continue to exercise power. This, first of all, I think is bad for the country, but, secondly, if the PSD wants and can govern, I think it must be visible,” said the USR leader, commenting on this possibility.
He said that the USR would not vote for a PSD + UDMR + National Minorities political government with a technocrat prime minister.
“It has to be clear who is in charge, who has the decision-making power, and therefore a government with a technocrat prime minister but political ministers is still a political government. You can't take the political out of the government, because governing itself is a political act,” Fritz added.
“We will not pass a screen solution”
Asked if USR would vote for a government made up only of technocrats, the party leader suggested no: “We have to look at what we actually want to do in Romania.”
“Certainly, we will not pass a screen solution, which now throws all the hot potatoes into the hands of technocrats taken from the foam of the sea, without political exposure, who will possibly have to repair, for example, after the PSD ministers, who left a disaster in their ministries, and the PSD, I don't know, still pulls the strings in the agencies, it has, I don't know, secretaries of state, but it doesn't take these decisions, it's in the opposition, not in the opposition”, concluded the leader USR.
The official consultations at the Cotroceni Palace for the formation of a new Government will most likely take place on Monday, official sources told HotNews.
