Sorin Grindeanu on the option of a PSD prime minister: “If it's about me, I don't rule it out”

The president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, admitted on Wednesday that the PSD also took into account the option that could lead to the PSD prime minister, in the negotiations for the formation of a new government, and, if it is about him and this will be decided by his colleagues in the statutory forums, he does not exclude this, reports News.ro.
The PSD leader was asked in a press conference if the party could go to the consultations in Cotroceni with him as a proposal for prime minister.
“We took into account one thing that includes this approach. We told you that we have a fairly broad mandate, except for the two or three things that we do not go over. This also means a variant that can lead to the PSD premier. The PSD premier appointed by the Social-Democrat Party, in the statutory forums. But if it is about me, the PSD president, and that will be decided by my colleagues, I do not exclude this”, replied Sorin Grindeanu.
Grindeanu: PSD, the “adult in the room”
He mentioned that the PSD decided in the meeting to be “the mature one in the room, that someone was talking yesterday, with the table, with the table overturned, that he no longer sits at the table”.
“This is not about food, because I see that it is always going there. It is about finding a solution. The economic data show us that what we have been saying for months has a basis and the arguments for the change of Ilie Bolojan are what we see today. This is the mirror of this government. I am sorry that I have not been more firm since the fall, since I first signaled and proposed that economic recovery program and we did not realize the economic disaster it is leading us to Ilie Bolojan. This is a regret that I and my colleagues have and for which I apologize to the Romanians, that I did not realize Ilie Bolojan's inability to manage Romania, from an economic point of view”, said Sorin Grindeanu.
A variant that PSD “does not want”
Regarding a minority government with a PSD prime minister, Grindeanu showed that “this is not an option that the PSD wants either.”
“It is not a job that will offer, what the president said (…), a stable government, a clear majority. I tell you that what was said, again a week ago, even if it is counterproductive and there are some quite agitated on the political scene, it is better to wait two, three days, a week and find a stable solution, than to have a temporary solution, which can gather 233 votes, but which in September leads to a new motion of censure and the overthrow of the government. No one wants that,” Grindeanu emphasized.
