The woman says that she recently started looking for a person for weekly cleaning in an apartment in the Capital, because she no longer has time to take care of these tasks herself. But what shocked her were the prices she found.

“I recently started looking for a person to do weekly cleaning for an apartment in Bucharest, because I don't have the time to do it myself anymore. I did a little research and was quite shocked by the rates.

I even came across prices of 3 euros per square meter. For a 60-70 sqm apartment, this means around 200 euros per visit. Am I being unrealistic and left behind, or have these scores now reached the market in our city? How are these amounts justified? I'm curious how much you pay and how you came up with the money (per hour, a fixed amount per visit)?

Beyond the prices, I'd really like to know what your overall experiences have been. Is it so hard to find a trustworthy man? Did you come across serious people the first time or did you also experience unpleasant situations (cleaning done by salvation, broken things)?

I'll admit, I'm a little hesitant to bring someone into my home straight off the internet, and I'd like to know what to expect.

PS If you know of someone reliable who does good work and has reasonable prices, a private recommendation would greatly help. I mention that I live in Sector 1 – Aviation”she wrote on Reddit.

The post quickly drew backlash from other users, who confirmed that prices had risen, but also offered explanations for market fluctuations.

“I know at least 3 people who give about 300-400 lei per session cleaningfor several hours. 3 euros per square meter is absurd, maybe only for cleaning companies that come with a team and professional equipment, I don't know.”

Another user explained that the price differences can also depend on the type of service chosen, but also on the personal decision to give up such services.
