Trump will take Musk and executives of top US companies with him to China

More than a dozen executives from leading American corporations will travel to China this week along with a delegation from US President Donald Trump. Reuters reported this on May 11, citing a White House representative.

Among the trip participants are CEOs and top managers of companies such as Apple, Boeing, Citigroup, Meta, as well as BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, Cisco and other large corporations.

In addition, among the delegation participants will be the American billionaire, owner of the social network X and the Tesla automobile company, Elon Musk.

Bloomberg interprets Musk's participation in the context of Trump's visit to China as a signal of a likely warming of relations between the American billionaire and the political circle of the head of the White House after previous disagreements related to his role in reducing the US federal government.

Overall, Washington hopes the trip will facilitate new business deals and procurement agreements between the U.S. and China, the sources said.

However, the delegation's final list may not include Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, potentially complicating the company's advancement in the Chinese market, particularly its artificial intelligence solutions.

The media also writes that major commercial deals could be discussed or even announced during the visit, including a potential order of up to 500 Boeing 737 Max aircraft.
