Enterprises of the Siberian Generating Company in the Krasnoyarsk Territory traditionally took part in events dedicated to Victory Day.

Power engineers from Krasnoyarsk, Nazarovo, Kansk, Minusinsk and Zelenogorsk joined city rallies and memorial events, marched in the ranks of the “Immortal Regiment” and laid flowers at monuments and memorials of the Victory.

During the pre-holiday days, memorable corporate events were held at all SGC production sites. Entrance areas and thematic locations were decorated on the enterprises' territories, banner groups and Victory flags were placed, field kitchens were organized, musical accompaniment with songs of the war years and screenings of films about the Great Patriotic War. At the entrance stations, employees were greeted with congratulations and St. George ribbons, and LED screens showed videos of “The Immortal Regiment,” children’s poems about the war, and archival materials from the war years.

In Krasnoyarsk, at CHPP-1, a festive music concert was held for the station workers. At CHPP-2, they created a “Memory Wall” with photographs of relatives of employees – participants in the war and home front workers, and also organized a thematic musical lotto for songs of the war years. At CHPP-3, workers were greeted at checkpoints by employees in wartime costumes.

In Kansk, employees were given a master class on creating a commemorative brooch from the St. George ribbon. And in Minusinsk, power engineers cleaned up the monument to the soldiers of the village of Golovino and honored the memory of Komsomol members who did not return from the Second World War by laying flowers. During the war, 15 Komsomol members – village residents – went to the front, and only four returned.

In Nazarovo, energy workers joined the all-Russian “Red Carnation” campaign, making donations in support of veterans. Employees of the Nazarovo State District Power Plant also took part in the “Memory Watch” at the Victory Memorial, congratulated the former employees of the station – home front workers, and presented them with gifts and memorial cards. The management of the enterprise personally met with them, thanking them for their contribution to the development of energy and the city. Commemorative events continued in the sports field: energy athletes took part in the city athletics race dedicated to Victory Day.

For energy workers, Victory Day remains a special date. After all, after the war, it was the front-line soldiers and home front workers who built the largest energy facilities in Siberia, raised industry and developed the cities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. And today, thermal power plants and state district power plants continue to provide reliable heat and electricity supplies to the region.

Let us remind you that last year, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Great Victory, the SGC published the book “80 Moments of War” as a tribute to the memory of energy veterans. The publication includes archival photographs, family memories and materials about people who went through the war and then devoted their lives to the development of the energy sector in Siberia. The book brings together dozens of stories about courage, labor and the post-war reconstruction of the country.

“Dear residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory! Dear veterans, home front workers, participants of the Great Patriotic War! May 9 is a great sacred day that has special meaning for all of us. After all, the war came to every family,” said Oleg Bubnovsky, General Director of Yenisei TGC (TGC-13) JSC. “Today we pay tribute to the heroes and honor the heroism of everyone who fought courageously on the front line, selflessly saved the wounded in hospitals, and brought Victory closer to the rear, sparing no effort. Our special pride is the invaluable contribution of energy workers to the Great Victory. During the harsh war years, CHPP-1 was built in Krasnoyarsk in record time, providing energy to factories working for the front. After the Victory, it was the generation of front-line soldiers who brought energy enterprises to new frontiers. And today the Siberian Generating Company continues the work of the winners and pioneers of thermal power plants, providing heat to thousands of people and modern industry with stable energy. Happy holiday! Happy Great Victory Day!”
