The Krasnoyarsk mayor's office told and showed how the construction of the Surikov Center is progressing. Photos from the construction site appeared on the telegram channel of the city administration.
All preparatory work on the site of the future Surikov Center has been completed, the installation of the foundation pit, foundations, external walls and concrete floors of the basement has been completed. Now specialists are engaged in installing the ceiling of the basement and, at the same time, they are carrying out work on installing the walls of the first floor, waterproofing and insulating the walls of the basement.
According to the customer – MKU UKS – there is no lag behind the work schedule, the overall construction readiness is 14%.
“In fact, we will complete most of the labor-intensive work on constructing the building’s frame: before the New Year it will be possible to see two floors. The work site is not easy, next to apartment buildings, but we are trying to minimize discomfort for residents,” said Pavel Dolgikh, general director of the contractor company.
Today, November 13, a meeting at the site was held by the acting mayor of Krasnoyarsk, Roman Odintsov. The event was attended by the Chairman of the City Council of Deputies Natalia Firyulina. At the meeting, issues of improving the appearance of the surrounding area were discussed.
“We are following the implementation of the project with special anticipation. The customer confirms that the work is on schedule. We are accustomed to the fact that cultural spaces and objects are the property and decoration of the city, including from an architectural point of view. This should be the case for the Surikov Center and a number of other facilities that, with the support of the regional governor and government, will appear in Krasnoyarsk for the 400th anniversary,” noted Roman Odintsov.
After construction, the site adjacent directly to the Surikov Center will be landscaped. The plans include repairing the driveway to the future building. At the same time, it is necessary to put the nearby buildings and objects in order – separate work has been organized in this direction.
Let us remind you that the construction of a new cultural space for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk began in the summer of this year. The Surikov Center will house exhibition halls, a lecture hall, a cafe and a library. Bathrooms, a mother and child room, a wardrobe, a block of technical premises and storage facilities are planned for the underground floor.
The building will be able to accommodate up to 270 visitors at a time. The facility will operate in conjunction with the museum-estate of Vasily Surikov; plans are underway to restore it.
