The Krasnoyarsk Territory is among the Russian regions with low electricity tariffs. This was reported by Prime with reference to a RIA Novosti study on the availability of electricity in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

Experts assessed not only the tariff itself, but also how much electricity residents could buy with an average salary after deducting personal income tax. This approach allows us to understand how accessible electricity is to the population in different regions.

According to the study, low tariffs are typical for the Irkutsk region, Khakassia, Dagestan and Krasnoyarsk Territory. The cost is influenced by the development of its own energy sector, the availability of network infrastructure and the large share of hydroelectric power plants in electricity generation.

The leader of the rating was the Irkutsk region. There, an average salary can buy almost 46 thousand kWh of electricity, and the tariff is 1.8 rubles per kWh. In Khakassia, the tariff is higher and amounts to 3.3 rubles per kWh, but the region also remains one of the cheapest in terms of electricity.

On average in Russia, the electricity tariff in apartments without electric stoves in March 2026 was 5.95 rubles per kWh. The next tariff increase is expected October 1, 2026. According to experts, due to indexation, the average availability of electricity in the country may decrease.
