EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas announced on Monday that EU countries had agreed unanimously to impose new sanctions on some Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank for violence against Palestinians.

Kallas said in the same message that the foreign ministers of the EU countries also adopted new sanctions on leading representatives of the Palestinian Hamas.

“Extremism and violence have consequences,” the EU foreign policy chief emphasized in her entry in X.

Judea and Samaria is the official Israeli term for the territory known in other languages ​​as the West Bank, West Bank or Cisjordan. The EU has previously imposed sanctions on representatives of radical Jewish settlers.
