A large batch of illegal ethyl alcohol was seized from a Krasnoyarsk resident (video)

A criminal case was opened against a 46-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk illegal trafficking of ethyl alcohol on an especially large scale.

The man’s activities were stopped by operatives in February of this year. In the garage he rented and in his car, 1,170 liters of alcohol-containing liquid with a total value of over 1.18 million rubles were found and seized.

According to investigators, the stored alcohol was intended for further illegal trafficking.

The man was brought to justice under Part 2 of Art. 171.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the sanction of which provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 5 years. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the purchase of alcohol and plans for its sale.
