A businessman from Moscow has been trying for nine months to return 350 thousand dollars, which he handed over to an exchanger to check for authenticity. The money was taken by detectives during the search. Where the “greens” are now is unknown.
According to Mash, Yaroslav K. brought 350k bucks to the exchange office on Marksistskaya Street on September 5, 2023. And on the sixth, people broke in, introduced themselves as detectives from the anti-corruption department of the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Central Administrative District, presented an order to inspect the premises, climbed into the cash register and took the cash.
According to the exchanger's employees, no seizure protocols were drawn up. But they showed their IDs. They took the money, computers, stamps, documents and left. The fate of the bucks has been unknown for nine months now.
At that moment, the businessman, impoverished by 350 grand, believes that the money was stolen. He wrote a statement to the district police department, but, according to him, they did not respond. In June, the application arrived at the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Central Administrative District.
The department’s press service, in a conversation with Mash, suggested that the money is being used as evidence in a criminal case that is still being investigated, and therefore cannot return the cash to the owner. However, they asked to write an official request in order to answer more accurately.
