The Maramureș County Police Inspectorate announced the opening of a criminal case regarding the disturbance of public order and peace, after a scandal that took place between the Romanian and the Nepalese workers, in a furniture factory in Baia Mare. The conflict began with a divergence between two employees because of a jar with Aracet and turned into a general beat, according to News.ro.
IPJ Maramureș said that, On Friday night on Saturday, the police were announced, by calling at 112, that a conflict between employees broke out in a factory in Baia Mare.
“On August 23, AC, after intervening a call reported by unique emergency call 112, inside a commercial company, the police in Baia Mare established that a conflict broke out between several employees, disturbing the public order and tranquility. Following the intervention, the police have filed a criminal file for the criminal offense,”
According to IPJ Maramureș, the police started the steps to identify the persons involved.
The scandal at the furniture factory in Baia Mare started with a conflict between two workers, a Romanian and a non -Palez, after the refusal of one of them to give the other a container with arace. There followed a general beat between Romanians and Nepalese, with fists, feet and sticks, according to the images captured by surveillance cameras and then distributed in the public space.
The guardians of the factory intervened to stop the violence, and a person called 112, requesting the intervention of the police.

Sources inside the society said that between the Romanian and the Nepalese workers there were older tensions on the grounds that foreigners would accept lower wages and thus reduce the chances of Romanians to request wage increases.

Policeman Marian Godina announced on Facebook that he has filed a criminal complaint against the deputy Dan Tanasa, for the crime of “inciting violence, hatred or discrimination”. Also, the National Council for Combating Discrimination (CNCD) was self -identified according to the message of the deputy, said for Hotnews Cătălin Raiu, a member of the CNCD Directors College.
