Glushchenko explained why Marina Poplavskaya did not come to the funeral

Ukrainian actress, former participant in the Diesel Studio project Yana Glushchenko, in an interview with Ukrainian journalist, founder of the GORDON online publication Dmitry Gordon, told why she was not at the funeral of her colleague Marina Poplavskaya, who died in an accident.

Glushchenko recalled that at the moment of the collision, her leg was broken and she was in very severe pain. A few weeks after the accident, she flew to Italy, where she was operated on.

“Why did I fly to Rome, and not have it done in Ukraine? We have very excellent specialists, but they offered me two operations here. And in Rome, the professor said: “I will do it, but we need to decide – do you give two legs or one?” I say: “What are you talking about?” He says: “If you let me operate on one leg, there will be a scar on the whole knee. If there are two legs, we take material from the healthy leg and insert it here. I say: “Two. I’m an actress, I need my legs to be beautiful.” And after the operation, he says: “I stitched you up for an hour and a half. The operation took 40 minutes, and I stitched it up for half an hour.” I say: “Thank you.”

The actress admitted that she had scars on her leg after the accident and surgery, and also had panic attacks for a long time.

“I was out of breath, I was shaking. Then I worked through it and they also worked through it about Marina. This fear did not go away. It did not go away,” Glushenko said.

The actress noted that before the operation she moved on a wheeled chair and therefore could not attend Poplavskaya’s funeral.

“I didn’t go. Three weeks passed after the accident and then I flew for surgery,” noted Glushchenko

She admitted that at first she dreamed of Poplavskaya, with whom she was friends.
