Luis Enrique, the PSG coach, turns 56 today, May 8. He had worked out the details of a dinner with his players, especially after qualifying for the Champions League final, but, surprisingly, he never turned up for the meeting.

The players of PSG secured their qualification to the final of the Champions League, where they will have the opportunity to defend the trophy won last year in the match against Arsenal, which will take place on May 30, in Budapest. On his return to Paris, coach Luis Enrique organized a joint dinner, but his unexpected gesture eventually became the main topic.

Luis Enrique was absent from his birthday party

Although the start of the season was not ideal for PSG, Enrique's team showed its strength over time and managed to reach the final of the strongest European competition.

After the semi-final second leg match against Bayern at the “Allianz Arena”, the team returned to Paris. Despite the day off, the players met for dinner on Thursday, in a Parisian restaurant, and the initiator of this meeting was their coach, according to sportal.blic.rs.

Enrique wanted to bring the team together to celebrate qualifying for the final, but that wasn't the only reason. The Spanish coach celebrates his 56th birthday on May 8, which was the main reason for the meeting, to celebrate, for a few hours, with the players.

But something happened that no one expected. All the PSG players came to dinner and waited for the coach, but Luis Enrique didn't show up at all.

According to French media, he ultimately decided not to participate with the very intention that his players could relax as much as possible and enjoy themselves without feeling like they were being watched.
