More than 800 students from the corps and the Mariinsky Gymnasium sang the song “Darkie” in chorus. After that, the guys walked along the parade ground with photographs of the heroes of their families. Teachers and educational officers also joined the procession.
The ministry noted that holding the “Immortal Regiment” on the territory of the cadet corps has already become a tradition. For six years, before Victory Day, students have been walking along the parade ground with portraits of veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
“The 'Immortal Regiment' action is not just a procession, it is a connecting thread between generations, an opportunity to say 'We remember! We are proud!' And the songs of the war years are the voice of history and the soul of the people, which helped them survive in the most difficult times. Let today become a symbol of unity, gratitude and eternal memory,” noted the region’s Minister of Education Tatyana Gridasova.
Let us remind you that “The Song Also Fought” is an international social project. It involves 11 Russian regions that are members of the Siberian Agreement Interregional Association, as well as Beijing. The chairman of the association is the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Mikhail Kotyukov.
