Major traffic restrictions in Bucharest this weekend, on the occasion of some events

Road traffic is restricted, from Friday to Sunday, on several boulevards and streets in Bucharest, for some events, including a march in the center of the Capital and the Bucharest International Half Marathon, the Road Brigade announced.

For the “Bucharest International Half Marathon 2026”, on Saturday and Sunday, the Road Brigade will temporarily restrict road traffic.

The Saturday program of the event is as follows:

• 8:45 a.m., Start Race 10 km wheelchairs (persons with disabilities);
• 9:00 a.m. Start the 10 km race.

• Friday, 5:00 p.m. – Sunday, 4:00 p.m., on Bd. Libertăţii (both directions between Splaiul Independenţei and Bd. Naţiuţi Unite) – Start area layout;
• Saturday, between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (10Km&Fun Race route);
• Sunday, between 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. (21 km race route & 21 km relay).

Other areas with traffic restrictions

On Saturday and Sunday, between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., the “Bucharest Food Truck Festival” event will take place on Şos. Pavel D. Kiseleff.

Thus, from Friday, 8:00 p.m., until Monday, 6:00 a.m., road traffic will be restricted on the road. Pavel D. Kiseleff, the road segment between Str. Arch. Ion Mincu and Piaţa Victoriei, without affecting the intersections, as well as on Str. The Mint, with the diversion of traffic on the adjacent arteries.

Also, from Thursday until Monday, access to the alveoli on the road will be restricted. Kiseleff.

May 9 pro-Europe march

At the same time, on Saturday, May 9, on Europe Day, a pro-Europe march is announced, on the occasion of Europe Day.

The public meeting will take place on the following schedule:
