
In the south of the aggressor country in Russia, 13 airports were suspended due to a drone crash on the administrative building of the Aeronavigation branch in Rostov-on-Don. The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation reported this on May 8 in Telegram.
The operation of airports in the cities of Astrakhan, Vladikavkaz, Volgograd, Gelendzhik, Grozny, Krasnodar, Makhachkala, Magas, Mineralnye Vody, Nalchik, Sochi, Stavropol, Elista has been temporarily suspended.
The Ministry of Transport of Russia and the Federal Air Transport Agency are adjusting the flight schedule together with airlines and airports, the report says.
Governor of the Rostov region Yuri Slyusar wrote that as a result of the fall of UAV debris at night, there was destruction in the cities of Taganrog, Bataysk, Rostov-on-Don, and in the Myasnikovsky district.
Moscow also came under attack. The mayor of the city, Sergei Sobyanin, reported the alleged destruction of about 30 drones that were flying towards Moscow at night.
In addition, the Exilenova+ monitoring channel wrote about explosions in the Russian Yaroslavl, after which a fire broke out on the territory of a local oil refinery.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said that Russian air defense forces allegedly shot down 390 drones, as well as Neptune missiles, at night.
The Russian defense department also noted that because of the alleged attacks, strikes were carried out in Ukraine at night. “The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation reacted in a mirror manner to the violation of the truce,” the report says.
At the same time, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky on the morning of May 8 indicated that there was not even a simulated attempt to cease fire on the Russian side.
