A wasp waist for summer: 2 movements in 7 minutes – the sides are tightened without twisting

If you notice that your waist has become less pronounced, and your sides seem to be “blurring,” even if your weight has not changed, it’s not a matter of diet or age. Most often, the reason lies in the weakening of the oblique abdominal muscles and the habit of slouching. Tissues lose tone when you sit a lot, wear tight clothes or breathe shallowly. But you can return the graceful curve and clear contour now.

Two simple movements of five to seven minutes a day are enough. They gently activate the side muscles, improve lymphatic drainage and help relieve tension in the waist area. Do them at home, in loungewear, or even in bed in the morning, and no equipment is needed.

Exercise 1. Standing lateral extension

  • Stand straight, feet hip-width apart, raise your arms up.
  • As you exhale slowly, gently tilt your body to the right, extending your left arm above your head.
  • Hold at the point of maximum stretch for ten to fifteen seconds, breathing calmly.
  • Slowly return to the starting position while inhaling.
  • Repeat five to six times on each side.

This movement gently stretches the side line and creates a smooth transition from the waist to the hips.

Exercise 2. Rotation of the body while sitting

  • Sit on the edge of a chair, back straight, feet firmly on the floor.
  • Place your palms in front of your chest and spread your elbows to the sides.
  • As you inhale, begin to make smooth circular movements with your body, describing an imaginary circle.
  • Move slowly, synchronizing the rotation with your breathing.
  • Do this for one to two minutes.

This exercise disperses lymph in the waist area, improves spinal mobility and relieves the feeling of heaviness after sitting for a long time.

Perform both movements in the morning for a boost or in the evening to relieve the stress of the day. After just four to five days, you will notice that your breathing has become deeper and your waist feels more collected. By the tenth day, the usual “waddiness” in the sides will disappear, and you will again feel confident in tight-fitting dresses and summer tops.
